I received my masters in education from Union University. My belief is that we can inspire others with our dedication and joy of learning. I strive to impart that love of education onto my students. I work as a high school English teacher, but also offer one-on-one tutoring sessions. I am dedicated to ensuring each student succeeds in their academic career. I never give up on my students. With eight years of experience as a teacher, I've learned to motivate students every day and overcome their challenges. As a teacher, I understand how important it is that students develop a firm understanding of a concept before moving on to more advanced topics. I give each one the time to learn it, while offering them additional time in a private setting. I work with students to prepare them for standardized tests, such as the ACT reading or English subject tests. I provide them valuable study and test taking skills that can improve their confidence and performance in class and on tests. In addition, I ensure they gain the necessary essay writing and editing skills to effectively communicate their ideas on paper. Outside of teaching, I enjoy playing games with my daughter and engaging in debate.
