Experience
I graduated from Valparaiso University with a Bachelor's Degree in kinesiology and mathematics. I also minored in human biology at the same university. During my time in college, I worked as a math tutor at the university. My primary focus in tutoring was calculus, but I am also comfortable tutoring students in pre-algebra, algebra, trigonometry, geometry, and pre-calculus. Currently, I teach high school ESL and algebra. I can also teach math in Spanish because of my experience teaching ESL. I am not fluent in Spanish, but I do know enough Spanish to be able to teach math lessons completely in Spanish. Additionally, I have experience helping students prepare for several different standardized tests, such as the SAT subject tests, CAHSEE, ACCUPLACER, ACT, SAT, GRE, and LSAT. I really love tutoring because I enjoy being able to prepare people for success in education. Math can be a difficult subject so it is especially satisfying for me to be able to provide the assistance my students need to succeed in the subject. Outside of school, I enjoy oil painting, wood burning, running, playing soccer, learning, and teaching.
